Tinfoil Hat Time

Today, I'm putting together a grab bag of conspiracy theories regarding September 11, 2001. Now, you can find as much evidence to discredit these theories as you can to support them. Obviously it is up to the individual to decide how far down the dark path they are willing to walk but it all makes for interesting reading/viewing none the less.

First we have a Flash presentation about the attack on the Pentagon.

Second, is a website dedicated to the theory that the WTC7 building was demolished using explosives rather than being destroyed by fire as is claimed in the official account of the attack. This one includes the rather credible evidence of the leaseholder of the building actually admitting to giving the OK to go ahead with demolition. (From an interview on a PBS special called America Rebuilds.) On the same subject here is a paper put together by BYU professor Steven Jones. The man is convinced we have been lied to. He doesn't stop with WTC7 though, he also questions whether the Twin Towers could actually have been brought down by the planes.

Here is a link to a list of the top three Bush administration crimes, scroll down a bit for the section on 9/11. (You can find a link to the actual video of the above mentioned PBS special.)

There are many more theories floating about the internet, one man's credible evidence is another man's La La Land. Just remember that in order for your tinfoil hat to fully protect you from the invasive rays it must cover not only your temples but also the base of your skull. Live long and prosper.

It doesnt take much of imagination to speculate on alternative events that occured on 9/11 considering the governments rapid assumption of war time powers and hostile political aggressions. Nazi parties wore the swastika on their lapel to show their patroitism.

Godless Mom,

I thought I liked you and your blog. After this sad excuse for a post about 9/11 Truth, I'm not so sure.

I know you make the disclaimer that your links are a grab bag.

I am furious with you. The topic deserves so much more that this. I don't want to be rude or insulting. Let me just start by supplementing the record.

For any of your readers who would rather do research with mainstream published books, start with:

David Ray Griffin
New Pearl Harbor
911 Commission: Ommissions....

Webster Tarpley
911 Synthetic Terror

You have no inkling, obviously, how "one-sided" the evidence is about 9/11. The only reason that the public is rioting in the streets is because of the MSM cover up.

You have no inkling how much disinfo is out on the internet, and how your casual post amounts to more disinfo. I am sickened and disappointed.

BG, I assure you I am fully aware of how one sided the info we have been given is. I posted these links in order to provide some other views, many of them very well thought out and well researched.

Nowhere in my post do I disparage the the people who have put together these massive amounts of information. I simply present them and leave it open to the observer/reader to form their own opinions.

I joke about tin foil hats because I constantly feel like I walk the line between discovering the truth and wearing the hat. One of the most frustrating things about the Bush administration is the fact that if you call them on their bullshit you end up sounding like you need therapy and medication.

(Have you seen my five day post on voting irregularities? I have definitely walked the tin foil hat road with that subject.)

I actually think that you and I are pretty much on the same page with this one, we do not have all the information regarding 9/11 and aren't likely to ever get it. The extreme secrecy surrounding this administration not only makes it frustrating when trying to get to the truth, it also fosters tin foil hat type thinking. It is up to each individual to decide whether the evidence presented is worthy or consideration or if it crosses the line.

Please try to remember that although you may read this blog regularly you really don't know me. The things that spill from my mind onto the screen are nothing more than a snapshot of my mood and ideas. You state that you are furious with me, you may not like the way I stated a particular idea but I don't really think I have a big enough impact on your life to warrant fury.

In all sincerity, I hope you too have a Merry Christmas.

The conspiricy theories will never die. But......

1. Controled demolition? I have been to building implosions, you can clearly hear the multiple charges going off. Yet, even with all the television cameras at the site - not one explosion can be heard.

2. The 4th plane was shot down. Unlikely. The impact site was contained to a small area. Had the plane been shot down at altitude, parts would have been strown all over the place. The Space Shuttle was spread over several states. The plane would have had to be very low to the ground to be shot down and have a small debris field.

3. The pentagon was hit by a missle. How did a bunch of dudes in a cave in Afganistan get a missle thatr could hit the Pnetagon? As for the whole "there were no plane parts near the building", I just think of ValueJet flight 593 that crashed in the Everglades. There were no major parts recovered, it all broke apart into slivers.

Can't the truth be as simple as "some guys hijacked aircraft, loaded with tons of fuel, and crached them into buildings at a high rate of speed"?

Sometimes the simpliest plans work best. I don't know what really happened on 9/11, but I think is was a simple plan. And it sure worked.

Whatever. But you have a good blog, and I like it, so there. I'm using duck tape for protection myself. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

I love you and your blog and I always will!

I'm generally slow to get into conspiracy theories... it does seem a bit odd to me that the plane "disappeared" into the Pentagon, I agree. But what the hell do I know about these things? Nothing, really.

Iguana,

There were firemen in the Towers who heard what they described as bombs going off during the rescue attempts. Also, the WTC7 imploded and fell into a neat pile, not the sort of thing you'd expect from a building that was supposedly destroyed by a propane tank fire.

I don't think the 4th plane was shot down, I think it was the passengers who foiled the hijackers and it came down as a result, but I wonder about the Pentagon. The large passenger plane disappeared from radar and all video of the event has been collected by the FBI, never to be seen again. It leaves a big question mark.

No one believes that a guy in a cave could get hold of a missle that would do that kind of damage, the tin foil hat part comes in when you think about who COULD get their hands on a missle and fly it into the Pentagon and what motivation they could have for doing so.

I'm not completely convinced that everything put forth in these theories holds water, however there is evidence worth looking into and big questions that remain unanswered.

I agree that the easiest explanation is usually the correct one andb it is doubtful that an administration who can't even properly run a war in Iraq could possibly pull off a conspiracy of this magnitude. But, we believe blindly at our own peril. It is worth listening to what these folks have to say. The truth is most likely somewhere in the middle.

Sometimes the obvious answers to why things like this happen are usually dismissed. It's hard to get past folks programs, no one wants to believe that our government can be so cruel. But we who live our lives in brier patches knows better.

Keep up the good work GodlessMom and don't let negative comments deter you. You said it was up to the individual to believe what they chose to. I for one have no trouble believing how cruel our government can be and is, I live it daily.

Thank you!

GM,

Thanks for responding to me. Thanks for helping lazy I become acquainted with some of the evidence.

GM, My gripe with you IS exactly what you did: you say you didn't disparage any of the theories. I believe that part of the truth about 9/11 is the matter of many, many players, and web pages, many of which need to be examined and at times disparaged. For a new person exploring 9/11 on the Web, I would submit the number of outrageous misleading and problematic info is exactly what makes people skeptical of any of it.

I still think you are doing a massive dis-service if you don't talk about:

Ruppert and Peak Oil
(Crossing the Rubicon)
PNAC
Hopsicker
9/11/2005 Protests in NYC (wingtv.net, and 911truth.org)
Ellen Mariani
Thiery Miessan (French)
Jimmy Walter (reopen911.org)
Brushing with MSM and how the cover up has been effected.

BG (not ranting now)

Okay BG, Now I understand what you are saying. Point taken. I consider myself duly chastised.

You are correct, this is truly a serious subject with a lot of weird stuff pointing in different directions. You've probably done much more research on this subject than most, would you like to be a guest blogger here and present the subject in a more studied way?
